The Stanley Cup is the championship trophy awarded yearly to the Nationwide Hockey League (NHL) playoff champion. It’s the oldest skilled sports activities trophy in North America, and probably the most iconic symbols of the game of ice hockey.
The Cup is made from silver and nickel alloy, and stands 35.5 inches (90 cm) tall and weighs 34.5 kilos (15.6 kg). It’s engraved with the names of each participant who has received the Cup, and is taken into account to be probably the most prestigious trophies in all of sports activities.
